Have you ever considered how valuable you are in the eyes of God? We place value and worth on things that have no life in them. But treat them as if they are more precious than ourselves and others. Countless lives and relationships have sacrificed over inanimate objects. Because our value system has been distorted by sin’s entrance into the earth. When sin came it was planted in the soil of mans heart, therefore producing it’s selfish fruits. God has made man like Himself not like animals or angels but in His image and likeness. We were made to fellowship, imitate and be just like Him. His plan for man was never to be subservient to things and place greater value on objects than people. According to God’s standard we are preciously valuable and not some second hand merchandise no one is interested in. He has placed value on us that is unmatched by any earthly or heavenly thing. Jesus said “what would it profit a man if he gained the whole world but lost his own soul.” As a general rule we consider the value of anything to be determined by the price paid. If we were to view our salvation through this standard we could say, there are not enough words or numbers to describe our worth. Why ? Because Jesus is the price that was paid, He is an expression of God’s love for man. Jesus being the most valuable price that could be paid for you and me. Like the old saying goes if you were the only person on earth He would have died for you. Your value and worth is out of this world.

Many, many people don't feel important to God because they don't feel important to themselves. Guilt from past deeds come back to haunt, leaving a residue of lowliness to self.

If we could truly forgive ourselves, then we could believe that God has not only forgiven us but also forgotten.

It is through a personal relationship with Jesus that we have the revelation that God is Love and love never condemns. It is through Jesus we can be delivered from condemnation of self and be free to love ourselves, not pridfully, but as God loves us.
